Sadly, it's true! Ghosts is coming to an end with his fifth season on BBC One and iPlayer, but fans are still not coming to terms with the shocking news.
“After five incredible years of haunting the halls of Button House, we decided it was time to put our beloved sitcom Ghost to rest,” the cast said in a statement.
“We have just finished filming our fifth and final series and can’t wait to share it with you later this year. After word broke that Ghost was coming to an end, speculation turned to what exactly would happen for our beloved Button House gang.
The synopsis for the final episode teased that Alison and Mike will “consider a new chapter that could have a major impact on the Ghosts' lives.”
This can be interpreted in many ways, but of course the most worrying idea is that the couple could sell up, move on, and be separated from their paranormal friends forever.
In the previous installment, they tried to raise money by setting up an abandoned property as a B&B, but it ended in disaster when a fire quickly rendered the cozy guesthouse inoperable.
