The final scene left fans stunned and everyone clamoring to see more. After all, Gaiman was open about the fact that he always envisioned three seasons for the show.
Here's everything you need to know about Good Omens Season 3.
Will there be a season 3 of Good Omens?
yes! In December 2023, Good Omens was officially renewed for a third season.

Gaiman announced the news in a statement, saying, “I'm so happy to finally be able to complete the story that Terry and I planned in 1989 and 2006.
“Terry was determined that if he made Good Omens for television, he could take the story to the end. Season 1 was all about Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and averting the end of the world. Season 2 was sweet and tender, even if it didn't end as happily as some angels and demons had hoped.”

“'Good Omens' ticks all the boxes of being a smart, witty and funny comedy, and it's just a success on Prime Video,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. “Neil made “Goodness'' easy and enjoyable to watch.'' and Terry's immense creativity.
“We have no doubt that the final season will be filled with the same dynamic energy that our customers around the world enjoy.”
Gaiman previously said that season two would be a combination between season one, which adapted the story told in the 1990 novel Good Omens, and the general plot of the sequel's story, which he developed with the late Sir Terry Pratchett. It was revealed that it was written as an organization. .
He said, “There's a hypothetical Season 3, so there's a story there, but I didn't feel like we could just go there straight from Season 1.”

The official release date of Good Omens Season 3 has not been announced yet, but speculation is that we don't expect it to be released any earlier than 2025, and it could be even later.
Good Omens season 2 was released four years after season 1, but season 2 was hit by obstacles including the coronavirus pandemic.
Director Gaiman said that filming for season 3 will not happen immediately. He said on Tumblr, “We can't start filming right away. There's a lot of work to do before then.”
We will update this page as further news is announced.

In a statement about the Season 3 renewal, Gaiman gave a hint about the plot, saying, “In Season 3, we'll be tackling the end of the world once again. The plans for Armageddon go awry. It's just Crowley and Aziraphale.” he said. There is hope that if they work together they can make things right, but they are not saying anything. ”
It looks like the new season will, at least in part, follow Aziraphale and Crowley's journey to (hopefully!) reunite.
The final scene of season 2 showed Crowley kissing Aziraphale and the shocked angel deciding to return to heaven without the devil. The split-screen ending depicts the two going their separate ways unfortunately.
Good Omens star Maggie Service, who played a new character named Maggie in Season 2, told RadioTimes.com about the ending: Hollywood magic. It's reality within fantasy – and what will happen next? ”

Of course, Good Omens Season 3 wouldn't be possible without Michael Sheen as Aziraphale, David Tennant, and Crowley.
But aside from the core duo, it's hard to know who from the Good Omens cast might return for a third season. The second season saw major cast changes, with some stars returning, others leaving, some staying but in different roles, and even new cast members joining.
The most likely returnees seem to be Jon Hamm as Gabriel and Shelly Conn as Beelzebub (though even they are uncertain, as Conn took over the role from Anna Maxwell Martin ).
For now, here's a list of season 2 cast members who could theoretically appear in season 3:
David Tennant: Crowley Michael Sheen: Aziraphale Jon Hamm: Gabriel Maggie Service: Maggie Nina Sosanya: Nina Derek Jacobi: Metatron Doon McKeechan Archangel Michael Miranda Richardson Shax Paul Adeyefa as Eric the DevilElizabeth Berrington as DagonAbigail Laurie as ElspethShelly Converzebub as Liz CarliskerSarah Caer as Liz CarrGloria Obianyo as UrielQurin Sepulveda as MurielTim Downey as Mr. BrownAlex Norton (Tullock) Andy Osho (Citys) Peter Davison (Alistair) Ty Tennant (Enon)
However, one person who will not be returning is director Douglas McKinnon, who confirmed his departure from the show before it was renewed.
McKinnon has previously directed every episode of the series with David Tennant and Michael Sheen, and is heavily involved in the production of the show along with original author Neil Gaiman.
However, after sharing a photo from the Good Omens set on Instagram, McKinnon admitted in a comment: “I am no longer involved with the show.”
