• Searchmont – Montreal River Port – Bachawana Bay
• Agawa – Lake Superior Park
• Wawa – White River – Pukaskwa
• White River – Dubreuilville
A winter travel advisory has been issued starting today.
Risk:
Snow accumulation is expected to be between 5 and 10 centimeters, but locally more is possible. In some areas, snow may fall within a short period of time.
Sudden heavy snowfall greatly reduces visibility.
timing:
It starts this afternoon and ends tonight.
Discussion:
A flurry of rain is possible throughout this morning before bands of heavy snowfall begin to impact the region this afternoon. Within these snow bands, visibility is significantly reduced due to high snowfall rates. The heaviest snow is expected to move from west to east tonight.
Road surfaces such as highways, driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots can become difficult to pass when snow accumulates. During heavy snow, visibility may suddenly deteriorate.
Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions. Be especially careful when walking or driving in affected areas.
