Re “Lalo Alcaraz's 'La Cucaracha' cartoon is a must-see. It's overtly political.” (May 9): This cartoon makes us think and think about the world around us. Lalo Alcaraz does exactly that in his comics.
I'm so sick and tired of people thinking their way is the only way and expecting the rest to fall in line behind them. Please stop banning it! I don't want anyone to decide what it's okay for me to read, whether it's the daily newspaper or the library.

I think Lalo Aracares' comic “La Cucaracha” is interesting, timely, and entertaining. He also likes cartoons like Doonesbury. You may not always agree with their opinions, but they can provide a fresh perspective.
It's ridiculous that some readers are so offended by just one comic that they cancel their subscriptions. Canceling a comic because a few people objected to it is a better reason to cancel a subscription.

Do not get rid of Lalo Alcaraz's comic “La Cucaracha”. Please bring Dilbert back if you like. I just don't read comics that aren't interesting.

For those looking to censor La Cucaracha, there is an easier solution. If you don't care, like me, just skip it completely.
Problem solved.

I found it in my inbox after reading Friday's letter to the editor about the May 2nd La Cucaracha strip. I have never read that strip because of its extreme content. After watching the May 2nd strip, I actually found it humorous that he was holding two live babies and discussing and supporting abortion. The irony was striking. They may have been aborted people, but here they are supporting it.
I don't even remember what Dilbert did to get the boots, but it happened quickly. You should go for this too.
