Kelly Clarkson opened up more about her health journey on Monday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. The singer bonded with guest Whoopi Goldberg about her recent transformation and discussed the actress' memoir, Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me.
At the beginning of the conversation, Goldberg said, “You're taking a great shot at helping people in need.”
Clarkson said: “My case is different than what people expect, but my blood tests got so bad that I ended up having to do it.” I answered. She later clarified, “Everyone thinks this is Ozempic, but it's not,” adding only, “It's something else.”
The former coach on The Voice previously said walking and eating a high-protein diet helped her lose weight, but Clarkson ultimately succumbed to her doctor's orders and is now using drugs that “help break down carbohydrates.” “They're ingesting things,” he said. I'm not doing it right. ”
Clarkson admitted she had “no idea” how much weight she had gained until she rewatched a now-sheltered concert special recorded on her birthday last April. . “I was looking at it…because I was going to release it,” she explained. She is about to die of a heart attack. ”

Goldberg also talked about her new book, Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me, which details her sometimes tumultuous upbringing with her family growing up in the Chelsea projects. .
“I knew I had to wait until everyone was gone before I could actually talk about this,” she admitted, adding that she wasn't sure how she felt now that the book was published.
Still, she said writing her memoir helped her remember many of her favorite moments with her mother and brother, including the night Marlon Brando visited her home. “It was insane,” Goldberg recalled of the Hollywood star (who was playing the piano) sitting with her family.

“I've had the most amazing life so far,” she said, adding that she was most proud of “the magical moments I had with my mom and brother.”
