Former royal correspondent Cole told GB News that given Anne's age, there was a possibility of “complications” from the injury, and warned of the possibility of a “brain bleed”. “Princess Anne is 73, she'll be 74 in August – a concussion is not a minor issue,” Cole told hosts Bev Turner and Andrew Pearce.
“It could be something more serious.”

“A blow to the skull can shake the brain and cause cerebral hemorrhage, which can lead to a variety of nasty complications,” he added.
Regarding Princess Anne's hospitalization, Cole said that she “won't follow most people's advice, but she will follow her doctors' advice.” “She's been in hospital for two nights and she won't follow most people's advice, but she will follow her doctors' advice. Obviously the doctors are being cautious and obviously they're monitoring her,” Cole said.

Cole had previously told GB News presenters Emily Carver and Tom Harwood that Anne's injuries “could be something more serious”. “Obviously it's a concussion and she'll need to be monitored. She could just have hit her head and be seeing stars or it could be something more serious,” he said.
“I'm sure the doctors handled everything appropriately and cautiously and just said, 'You'll be here overnight, we'll check you in the morning and send you home as soon as possible,'” he added.
Recent reports have suggested that Anne has suffered memory loss as a direct result of the incident, but according to The Telegraph, it is believed to be temporary.
