India’s merchandise exports rose to $35.2 billion in June from $34.32 billion a year earlier, driven by higher shipments of engineering products and commercial vehicles, data from the Commerce Ministry showed on Monday. At the same time, Asia’s third-largest economy’s merchandise imports rose to $56.18 billion in the same period.

Burberry’s shares listed on the London Stock Exchange fell 14 percent and have fallen more than 60 percent in the past 12 months.
British luxury brand Burberry announced on Monday that Joshua Shulman has been appointed its new CEO. Burberry had already issued a profit warning and decided not to pay a dividend this year.
Joshua becomes Burberry’s fourth CEO in 10 years, succeeding Jonathan Aykroyd, who was fired after just two years in the role.
Joshua previously served as CEO of American fashion brands Michael Kors (2021-2022) and Coach, where he also served as brand president (2017-2020). Joshua will join Burberry on 17 July 2024 and will be based at the company’s headquarters in London. Joshua will lead the Executive Committee and report to Burberry’s Chairman Gerry Murphy and the Board of Directors.

Sunday’s Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia was delayed for more than an hour after thousands of ticketless fans stormed security guards and tried to force their way into the stadium. Video posted to social media showed security guards running through the concourses and struggling with fans trying to break through the gates at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Both teams were briefly removed from the field as chaos ensued outside. Many were stuck outside trying to get in before the match finally began after multiple postponements as police intervened and blocked the gates and enforced lockdowns. CONMEBOL, South American soccer’s governing body, postponed the start time of the match from 8pm to 8:30pm, then 8:45pm and finally 9:15pm, allowing both teams to finally go ahead with singing their national anthems.
