Rupa Bari – General Manager, Hareon Canada, Rahul Singh – Executive Director, Global Medic, and Sally Wolfe – Head of Corporate Affairs, Hareon Canada celebrate the launch of the Hareon Health Trailer (CNW Group/Hareon)
“At Haleon, we believe that by making health more inclusive, attainable and sustainable, we can have a real impact in helping people enjoy better everyday health.” said Rupa Bari, general manager of Haleon's Canadian operations. “With the launch of the Haleon Health Trailer, we aim to help people on their health journey wherever they are and in any situation. Our goal with this trailer is to help people live healthy lives. Our goal is to provide equal access to self-care products to help people stay healthy for as long as possible.”
The 2022 Haleon Health Inclusion Index shows Canada is recognized as a leader in prioritizing health in society and ranks among the top 10 countries for health inclusion. However, Canada's health literacy score is low (33%), highlighting hurdles to true health empowerment. Haleon Health Trailer helps bridge the gap by bringing critical self-care products to those who need them most.
“We are very grateful to the team at Hareon for collaborating on this trailer,” said Rahul Singh, Executive Director of Global Medic. “Our team at Global Medic has always focused on the fundamental principle of providing the right aid to the right people at the right time, and this trailer does just that. Help provide self-care products and services to those who need them most.
Both Haleon and Global Medic are committed to achieving health inclusivity and improving health literacy in the communities where we live and work. For Haleon, this is achieved by empowering self-care, investing in research and action, and driving change through purposeful brands. The Haleon Health trailer brings to life the effort to make this happen. Equipped to provide self-care products, education, and health care. This trailer helps those who need it most access self-care products, increase health literacy, and access other important health resources.
Health inclusivity focuses on two ideas: equitable access and universal participation. Health literacy is the ability to find, understand, and use health information to make informed health decisions. In short, it means becoming your own best health advocate. The Haleon Health Trailer is a step in the right direction to provide equitable access to those who need it most and improve everyday health alongside humanity.
