Laredo enacts drought contingency plan

“With summer travel fast approaching, the port encourages people who need travel authorization to apply online via CBP One, factor in border wait times and select their preferred crossing,” CBP Port of Laredo Port Captain Albert Flores said in a statement. “Keeping these resources up to date will help you better navigate your travel and have a smoother border crossing.”

Wait times remain long at Laredo's Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge as drainage projects are constructed and lanes are being rerouted. CBP officials are urging people to find alternative routes or build extra time into their travels.
