Ontario grocer Food Basics has launched a new television and digital campaign to promote its biggest sale event.
WOWZA! has evolved since the campaign began in 2018, but its core remains the same. It's such an incredibly low price that customers can't help but say this fun five-letter word. The latest spot depicts people who already know about the event looking for the next great deal. This time, I can't help but say “WOWZA!” and “WOWZA!” at the discounted price. The excitement is real. Low price surprises are part of the fun, as is the evolution of the event.
amazing! More than half of our customers in Ontario believe that our event offers a truly great deal. And Food Basics customers know this. “It’s always great to work on and produce creatives that are grounded in truth. WoW! is a great savings event for Food Basics shoppers, so we have fun making it happen,” says Open Client said Anne Ngo, Director of Services.
“At Food Basics, we love seeing WOWZA! The event has become well known for its unbeatable deals, and our latest campaign, 'Totally WOWZA!' not only captures the true surprise and delight our customers feel when they see our low prices, but also reinforces our commitment to offering the best value in the market,” said Matthew Robitaille, head of marketing, Metro Ontario.
“With the launch of our new commercial, we creatively express our commitment to maintaining our recent reputation as the 'Most Competitively Priced Grocery Store' as recently reported in the Leger WOW survey,” said Katie Chang, marketing director for Food Basics.
The new campaign will run until early June and include TV, digital, radio, in-store POS, and a social contest called WOWZA! Sweep.
