Andrew Gash to provide strategic and operational leadership for hospitals and clinics in Colorado, Kansas and Utah

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – CommonSpirit Health is pleased to announce that Andrew Gersh has been appointed president of the Mountain Region. Mr. Gersh has always demonstrated a deep commitment to our patients, employees and the community and began his new role on May 20th.
As Regional President, Andrew will lead 20 hospitals, 260 clinics and 16,000 employees serving communities across Colorado, Kansas and Utah. His strategic vision and thought leadership will be critical in pursuing revenue and market share growth objectives, identifying opportunities to expand operations within the region and building a high-performing leadership team across regions, markets and hospitals. Andrew will also provide strategic guidance to the medical and outpatient groups as the region implements CommonSpirit's quality and patient safety initiatives.
Mr. Gash has faithfully served CommonSpirit Health for 22 years. During that time, his results-driven, relationship-focused leadership style has been a key component of the region's accomplishments. For the past 18 months, Mr. Gash has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing key aspects of the region's disaffiliation from AdventHealth, in addition to its integration into CommonSpirit. Prior to that, he served for three years as Chief Financial Officer, leading the region through a pandemic and the subsequent period of worst inflation in recent history. Mr. Gash has also served as Chief Outpatient Officer and has extensive experience in operational and financial management. The combination of these roles has positioned Mr. Gash well for our goal of building healthy communities, now and into the future.
Mr. Gash earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgia Institute of Technology and his Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Denver.
