Rishi Sunak can no longer claim to have “stabilized the situation”, George Osborne has warned as fears grow over the Rwanda plan.
Mr Osborne, a former Conservative Party chancellor, said on the latest episode of the Political Currency podcast: Rishi Sunak's big claim was: “I came after the chaos of Boris Johnson and the chaos of Liz Truss…I stabilized things.”

Robert Jenrick resigned as Mr Sunak's immigration minister on Wednesday night over the proposal, sparking speculation that a new no-confidence vote had been filed and fresh concerns about the stability of the government.
Mr Sunak held a press conference early Thursday urging his own MPs to help “get the job done” and said critics of his proposals “clearly do not want to stop the ship”. he suggested.
