Nestle is getting into the weight loss business.
The world's largest food and beverage company said it plans to launch a frozen food brand to cater to consumers using GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic and Wigoby.

“Consumer research shows that there are certain nutrients and certain macros that consumers actually need to consume to stay healthy over the course of GLP-1 treatment,” Nestlé North America Best CEO Steve Presley told CNBC.
The lineup, called Vital Pursuit, includes 12 items and is expected to be in the frozen food aisles of grocery stores by the end of the year, Pressley told the publication.
Some of the products Nestlé makes include protein-based pastas, sandwiches, and pizzas, as well as whole-grain frozen bowls. These items will be priced under $4.99 and will include gluten-free options. Furthermore, it is said to be formulated with a focus on protein, calcium, iron, etc.
However, Nestlé has said it has no plans to label the drug as GLP-1, so consumers may need to be wary of these products. Instead, the company plans to use social media to promote its product line related to weight loss drugs.
The new lineup could bode well for Nestle as consumers flock to popular weight-loss drugs that are becoming increasingly accessible and affordable. On Monday, telemedicine platform Hims & Hers announced it would begin offering customers a combined version of semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wigovy.
