Mike Tyson is feeling “fine” after suffering a health crisis on a plane.
The former heavyweight champion was hit with “nausea and dizziness due to a recurrence of an ulcer” during an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles.
In a statement provided to People magazine, Mike's rep explained that “he is grateful to the medical staff who came to his aid.”
The ulcer recurred 30 minutes before the plane landed.
Paramedics eventually boarded a plane and rescued the 57-year-old sports star.
Mike's flight was actually delayed for two hours due to “issues with the cabin air conditioning,” but representatives insisted that Mike's health concerns were not a factor in the delay.
The former heavyweight champion is currently preparing to face Jake Paul in a boxing match.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place in Arlington, Texas on July 20th.
Looking forward to the bout, Mike previously said: “I am extremely excited to step into the ring with Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.”
“He's grown so much as a boxer over the years, so it will be exciting to see what The Kid's will and ambition can accomplish with the experience and aptitude of the GOAT.”
“This is an exciting moment to watch. I'm kicking off his boxing journey on the undercard of my bout with Roy Jones and now I'm going to beat him.”
Meanwhile, Jake recently described facing off against Mike as “the ultimate test of the war.”
“I have to control my nerves and my excitement,” the 27-year-old star, who has focused on boxing in recent years, told TMZ Sports.
“This is the ultimate war test for me and I'm very excited about it.”
