The Purolator Tackle Hunger Red Bag Campaign returns to Stratford from May 25th to June 1st to support the Stratford House of Blessing Food Bank.

Volunteers will be delivering approximately 1,000 red bags throughout the Stratford community on May 25th. Residents are asked to fill a bag with non-perishable food and show up at their doorstep before 9 a.m. on June 1 to be picked up by a Purolator courier. All red bags are delivered to food banks to help people in need.

Stratford House of Blessing relies on the support of our community and food industry partners. In 2023, House of Blessing recorded record numbers of her 15,393 food visits, 192,624 pounds of food collected, 230,895 meal distributions, and 4,628 volunteer hours logged. The most needed items in House of Blessing are:

The program has now been in operation for over 20 years and helps alleviate hunger in the communities where Purolator works. The organization works closely with employees, partners, agents, customers, and Canada's food banks to collect food and monetary donations and raise awareness about food insecurity.
According to Canada's Food Banks' HungerCount 2023, nearly 2 million people visited Canada's food banks in March 2023, the highest amount of visits in Canadian history.
