USA News Group News Commentary – Powering the ongoing artificial intelligence (AI) revolution will require even more investment and… power behind the scenes. This is because cloud-based services, especially those powering new AI capabilities, require large amounts of power. This allows contractors to benefit from rooms in buildings equipped with power management equipment. But while demand for more AI solutions will threaten the world's power grids, technology developers are making hardware more efficient to meet this surge in demand, according to Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman. We are working diligently to address this issue and have recently announced that Avant Technologies Inc. (OTC: AVAI), Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT), and Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) , Astera Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALAB) and other technology companies have announced several developments.
The article continues: “According to Research and Markets, the global data center infrastructure market alone is expected to reach nearly USD 6 billion by 2029, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 9.58%. Analysts at Exactitude Consultancy predicts that the global data center market will reach USD 536.38 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 10.72%.
Avant Technologies collaborates with Wired4Tech to evaluate performance of next-generation AI server technology
Avant Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: AVAI) (“Avant” or the “Company”), a leading innovator and enabler of AI infrastructure technology, today announced a collaboration with Wired4Tech, a well-known AI infrastructure consulting firm.
As part of an existing technology services agreement with Wired4Tech, Avant Technologies engaged Wired4Tech to conduct comprehensive performance benchmarking of next-generation AI cloud servers that Avant is evaluating for future use in its AI datacenter cloud infrastructure.
Wired4Tech's performance benchmarks include a variety of key metrics, including response time, throughput, CPU and memory utilization, disk I/O, network latency, and error rates. These metrics are essential to assess a server's ability to efficiently and reliably handle complex AI workloads. Additionally, Wired4Tech measures server power consumption and expected cost savings.
Response time is evaluated to measure how quickly the server responds to various actions, providing insight into overall responsiveness. Throughput analysis evaluates a server's ability to transfer data by considering factors such as file size, cached or uncached content, and available network bandwidth.
Additionally, CPU and memory usage is closely monitored to measure the server's processing power and the efficiency of memory management, disk I/O performance is evaluated to ensure smooth data access and storage operations, and network latency measurements provide valuable information about the speed of your server's communication with external systems.
“We are pleased to partner with Wired4Tech to benchmark the performance of our revolutionary next-generation AI servers,” said William Hisey, CEO of Avant Technologies. “By conducting rigorous benchmark testing of this promising server technology, we hope to validate the expected performance and cost-saving benefits.”
The results of the benchmark test will enable Avant Technologies to further execute its AI infrastructure business strategy.

Here are other industry trends and market happenings this week:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD), a leading global semiconductor company with datacenter, client, gaming and embedded divisions, showcased its latest end-to-end AMD-powered computing and software capabilities for Microsoft customers and developers. Solutions including AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators, ROCm open software, Ryzen AI processors and software, and Alveo MA35D media accelerators enable Microsoft to deliver a powerful suite of tools for AI-based deployments across multiple markets.
“The AMD Instinct MI300X and ROCm software stack powers Azure OpenAI Chat GPT 3.5 and 4 services, which are some of the world's most demanding AI workloads,” said Victor Peng, President, AMD. . “With the new VMs in Azure now generally available, AI customers will have broader access to his MI300X to deliver high-performance and efficient solutions for their AI applications.”
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), a worldwide leader in developing and supporting software, services, devices and solutions, unveiled a new computer called the “Copilot+” PCS that has the company's AI technology built directly into it, further accelerating the race among technology giants to bring AI tools to the masses. At an event ahead of Microsoft's annual Build conference at its headquarters, CEO Satya Nadella said that adding computer chips customized to run AI technology to the company's PCs and tablets will allow AI tools and functions to run faster than if the technology were to run over an internet connection, as most chatbots do today.
But Microsoft is also continuing its efforts to expand its cloud computing services in East Africa, including partnering with UAE-based AI company G42 and announcing it will invest $1 billion in data centers in Kenya. The data center will utilize geothermal energy and provide access to Microsoft's Azure through East Africa's new cloud region.
Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO), a global technology leader in a wide range of semiconductor, enterprise software, and security solutions, is revolutionizing the data center ecosystem with its highly scalable, high-performance, low-power 400G PCIe Gen 5.0 Ethernet We have announced our latest portfolio of adapters. The new products provide an enhanced, open standards-based Ethernet NIC and switching solution that solves connectivity bottlenecks as XPU bandwidth and cluster sizes rapidly expand in AI data centers.
“Broadcom prioritizes open standards and fosters collaboration with industry leaders to provide the broadest selection of high-performance connectivity solutions for AI infrastructure,” said Broadcom Vice President and Data Center Director. said Jas Tremblay, Solutions Group General Manager. “Our 400G PCIe Gen 5.0 Ethernet Adapter reiterates our commitment to enabling network-centric AI infrastructure platforms.”
Astera Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALAB), a global leader in purpose-built connectivity solutions that unlock the full potential of AI and cloud infrastructure, announced it has expanded the PCIe 6.x testing capabilities of its Cloud Scale Interop Lab to enable seamless interoperability between the Aries 6 PCIe/CXL Smart DSP Retimer and a wide range of PCIe 6.x hosts and endpoints. This new capability enables AI platform developers to confidently design high-bandwidth, low-latency PCIe 6.x connectivity, reducing overall development time and deploying at scale.
“As AI systems continue to advance at a rapid pace, data center operators must deploy increasingly complex systems on accelerated timelines,” said Sad Omura, chief business officer at Astera Labs. “PCIe 6.x operation will accelerate adoption for customers who integrate Aries 6, the industry's lowest power PCIe 6.x/CXL 3.x retimer, with solutions from our ecosystem partners.”
