Walk into a Costco food court in the US and you'll find a selection of popular items, including cheese and pepperoni pizza, affordable hot dogs, and a chicken bake with Caesar dressing. But walk into a Costco food court in Northern Canada and you'll be surprised to find an item not offered here: chicken strips and fries (yum!).
A lot of Americans are fans of chicken strips and fries (hence all the chicken-focused fast food chains like Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane's). The same seems to be true for Costco Canada's meal combo, as Reddit threads are rife with comments from American fans eager to see the set offered in the U.S. “Chicken and fries would be a big hit in the U.S.,” one Reddit user said, while another cried, “Bring chicken fingers to the U.S.! Let's replace the sandwich or chicken pockets.” And Canadians are surprised to find no chicken strips in Costco's food courts in Canada, mocking how delicious the fried food actually is. “They don't have chicken strips there? They're definitely the best thing on the menu.”

According to the Costco Canada food court menu, the chicken strips and fries combo costs $6.99, which is a bargain if it's as good as Canadian Costco fans say it is. Your order comes with four large strips and an average amount of fries. The menu says it comes with honey mustard, but I'm not sure if it comes with your order. You might just have to make do with the ketchup pump for the hot dog. You'll burn about 1,300 calories with this meal, which is what you'd expect when eating fried food at a food court.
Costco food courts in Canada also offer fries by themselves, with gravy, or with poutine. But surprisingly, these aren't the only locations that sell fried chicken of any kind. Did you know that you can order buckets of the acclaimed fried chicken at Costco food courts in Taiwan? While there's no fried chicken in Costco food courts around here, you can still distract yourself with a ranking of all the items available in the U.S. And the highest-rated foods at least include some kind of chicken.
