Selena Gomez doesn't care about other people's opinions about her love life.
In a cover story for Time magazine, the 31-year-old actress and pop star opened up about going public with her relationship with Benny Blanco and struggling with fans' reactions to their romance.
“I know what people can do to the people they love,” she told the magazine. “My fans, the people I admire and feel have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things about the way I live my life, but he has the strength to not be shaken by the fuss.”
Gomez continued, “It's really emotional and I cherish every moment I spent with him. I don't know what the future holds, but I know he's not going anywhere anytime soon.”

The “Fetish” singer insisted that her 36-year-old producer boyfriend is not her only “source of happiness.”
“I was alone for five years and I got used to it,” Gomez said. “A lot of people are scared of being alone, but I think I tortured myself about it in my own head for about two years, and then I kind of accepted it.”
The Only Murders in the Building star came up with a plan.
“If I hadn't met anyone, I would have adopted at age 35,” Gomez said.
Of her romance with Blanco, she added: “It happens when you least expect it.”

Gomez and Blanco had known each other for years before they began dating in June 2023, and previously collaborated with Tiny and J Balvin on the 2019 single “I Can't Get Enough.” In the song's music video, Gomez dresses up as a teddy bear and Blanco dresses up in pajamas as they share a sweet scene on an oversized bed.
In August 2023, the Emilia Pérez star released the Blanco-produced single “Single Soon.” Then, in December 2023, she confirmed their relationship by liking an Instagram post from a fan account for the pair, commenting on one of them, “He is absolutely everything in my heart.”
She also showed off a ring with the letter “B” on it, and called her musician boyfriend “the best thing that has ever happened to me” in the comments.
