Smart Watches
Speaker 1: watchOS 11 introduces even more great features to help you not only stay active, but also healthy and connected. Speaker 2: Understanding how your body responds and recovers from exercise and other aspects of life is important to your overall health. Apple Watch can track key vitals like heart rate, respiration rate and critical body temperature while you sleep, helping you understand your body better and identify when something might be wrong. In watchOS 11, these metrics become the foundation for insightful health management. [00:00:30] The new Vitals app lets you check in on your daily health and see your most important health metrics at a glance. You can also see how your metrics relate to your normal range, determined by an algorithm developed using your historical information and actual data from the Apple Heart Movement study. For more information, if any metric is outside of its normal range, it will be highlighted with details about changes over the past week. Speaker 2: If multiple metrics are out of range, you will be notified. [00:01:00] Personalized messages help you understand how these changes relate to other aspects of your life, like alcohol, altitude changes, illnesses, and more. That's the Vitals app: a new way to quickly see your most important health metrics, receive alerts when it's time to pay more attention to your body, and get better context about your health. Now let's talk about another time when context about your health is important: during pregnancy. Cycle Tracking now shows you how many weeks pregnant you are. [00:01:30] To support you at this critical time in your pregnancy, the Health app will display all your pregnancy graphs and prompts you to check things like high heart rate notification thresholds. Your heart rate is often elevated during pregnancy, so these are part of your health progress. Now let's turn back to David and talk about what's coming to keep you connected. Speaker 1: Apple Watch makes it so easy to stay connected to the world and people around you by giving you quick, meaningful interactions right on your wrist. [00:02:00] Whether you're buying your morning coffee or riding the subway, asking Siri to add an item to your shopping list or reply to a message from a friend, you can always have the information that's important to you right there, without having to take your iPhone out of your pocket. Just raise your wrist and you're done. Last year we introduced Smart Stack, another way to get to the information that matters to you just by scrolling the Digital Crown. This year it's even smarter, adding new widgets, like precipitation, automatically when you need them. [00:02:30] There's a variety of features, including a widget that lets you know before it rains and a translation widget that helps you when traveling to a new place. Simply tap to open the new Translate app on your Apple Watch, which uses machine learning models for speech recognition and translation. Just dictate and you can review and listen directly on your wrist. Speaker 3: Speaker 1: Smart Stacks gets even better with the arrival of Live Activity on Apple Watch. Stay on top of all the details about your favorite events and let friends know you're back with features like Check-In. [00:03:00] Apps to help you get home safely are now available on Apple Watch. Workouts during late-night runs are now supported, so your friends can keep an eye on you and get notified when you finish your workout, giving each other peace of mind. Developers can also surface live activity in Smart Stacks, so you can see updates on the fly, like when your trip is due to happen. Apps like Uber and the new Double Tap API even let you define actions within apps like Sprout Baby Tracker to log how much sleep you get without waking your baby. Speaker 1: [00:03:30] With access to these powerful features right from your wrist, your Apple Watch is essential, and being able to customize your watch face is just one way to make it your own. With popular photo faces, there's something special about seeing the people and moments that matter every time you raise your wrist. WatchOS 11 helps you find the perfect photo for your watch face. Machine learning intelligently identifies the score. [00:04:00] It curates your best photos based on facial expressions, aesthetics, and composition. Then, our custom algorithms time your images to create elegant frames. Choose a bold color, go for a monochromatic look for a polished look, or create something unique and your own. That's what WS 11 has to offer. And much more, including a redesigned Photo Space, more intelligent and smart stacked workout loads, Vitals app, new APIs for developers, and much more. [00:04:30] Get turn-by-turn directions for the walking or hiking routes you create. We're excited about new ways to help you stay connected, active, and healthy.
