Food critics Alan Bogen and Izzy Busse killed in car crash in Missouri

The pair were traveling westbound on Interstate 44 when a large tractor-trailer traveling eastbound crossed the median and struck the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica they were in.</p> <p>The driver, Borgen, 75, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Busse, 54, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he later died. The accident report did not provide details of the lorry driver's condition.</p> <p>The two were known for their show “Let's Dine Out,” in which they visited different restaurants around the state and showcased the food served there.</p> <p>RELATED: Honoring famous people who died in 2024</p> <p>Mark Westwood, general manager of KCAA Radio, which aired the show, confirmed the couple's passing in a social media post on Sunday, June 9. “All of us at KCAA are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our friend and fellow announcer,” Westwood wrote.</p> <p>“Saturday 4pm will never be the same without Let's Dine Out and we will truly miss them. We are still taking it all in and will provide more information. Not only did he have a kind heart, he wanted people to feel good.”</p> <p>“He wanted to do better for everyone, especially restaurateurs,” he added. “He cared more about the people than about himself.
