My first looper album, Sounds of Being, was made on a Boss RC-20XL (boss.info), a simple one-track loop station. I now use the Boss RC-300 loop station, which can accommodate up to three stereo tracks and has much higher fidelity and built-in phantom power.
I use a DPA 4099V microphone (dpamicrophones.com). I play through an AER Compact 60/4 amplifier (aer-music.de), which is made to amplify acoustic instruments like classical guitars. You can of course use other amps and PAs, but this amp helps me sound my own. I use this amp for the Viola Concerto and it's my go-to whenever I can't travel with it.
