Louisiana Tech fans can get recharged and ready for the university's upcoming athletic season on Tuesday when the Techs in Town celebration makes its second tour stop in Shreveport.
The event, sponsored by Origin Bank, will feature new Superintendent Jim Henderson, new Athletic Director Ryan Ivey and at least eight head coaches and is scheduled to take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Great Raft Brewing, 1251 Dalzel Street in Shreveport. Coaches scheduled to attend include Sonny Cumbie (football), Lane Burrows (baseball), Talvin Hester (boys basketball), Brooke Stoer (girls basketball), Amber McCray (volleyball), Brian Johnson (track and field), Matt Nantis (bowling) and Steve Boltz (soccer).
Tickets are $15 per person, and admission is free for children age 12 and under and College of Technology students who are current or will be enrolled in the fall semester of 2024. Tickets include a meal and a non-alcoholic beverage, and a cash bar will also be available at the Great Raft.

The Tech in Town tour kicked off last Thursday in Baton Rouge and will continue at Whiskey Cake in Dallas on Thursday, Saint Arnold Brewing Company in Houston on June 21st, Underdogs Grill & Chill in Monroe/West Monroe on June 25th, Walk On's Bistreaux in Little Rock on June 27th and Agent Pavilion in Ruston on June 28th.
