The Supreme Court has spent more than 100 days deciding whether President Donald Trump has executive immunity, and the hosts of The New Abnormal worry that this isn't a good sign.
“What I'm curious about is why it's taking so long to get what should be an easy 9-0 decision. It makes me uneasy. Of course, there are no facts to back this up, this is just speculation, but I have a suspicion that they're having trouble mustering a majority,” said Andy Levy, host of The New Abnormal.
“That really worries me, because it should never be anywhere near that stage,” Levy continued. “It shouldn't be a difficult decision at all. And it would be frightening if there are four or five or more justices out there looking for an excuse to give the president this kind of permanent immunity. I can't think of any other reason why this hasn't been issued yet.”

“The most infuriating thing about this to me is that Donald Trump's lawyers went to the Supreme Court and basically said that if Donald Trump, as president, decided to have SEAL Team Six kill a political opponent, he could do so and he wouldn't be held accountable for any crimes he committed unless he was impeached by the House and the Senate. We shouldn't have had to deliberate for hours to make that decision here,” Moody said.
“This is a case that should never have been heard in the first place. It should have been dismissed out of hand, they could have just written 'no' and been done with it, or they could have said 'no, this is ridiculous, stop bothering us with this nonsense,'” Levy said.
