Since early June, numerous products sold across the United States have been recalled by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
Affected products include Hedge Hot Foods made by Vitakraft Sun Seed Inc., which the manufacturer removed in cooperation with the FDA on June 22, and four flavors of Abilyn's Frozen Bakery Ice Cream Cakes, which supermarket chain Wegmans removed.
The FDA also announced that New Seasons Market LLC was recalling its Strawberry Rhubarb Bakewell Tarts after it was found to contain almonds that were not declared on the packaging.
