One of Toronto's most anticipated new food halls will finally open to the public next week, featuring some of the city's most popular food and beverage vendors.
Waterworks Food Hall, an ambitious concept integrated into the redevelopment of the historic Waterworks Building at 499 W. Richmond, has been creating buzz ever since the project was announced and is soon poised to open.
Housed in an Art Deco building, the massive 55,000 square foot food hall will feature over 20 curated food vendors and kiosks stocked with food from Toronto's most iconic spots.
Early announcements include Little India staple Harry's Charbroiled, Turkish bakery Riu Lokkum Atelier, Roncesvalles ramen shop Musosin and dessert bar king Demetres.
But to coincide with the official opening date, the food hall also announced some more exciting tenants.
Island Oysters will soon have a location at Waterworks Food Hall, along with Otto's Berlin Doner, Bloor Court's Vietnamese restaurant Vit Beo and London, Ontario-based Thai food chain Soi Typhoon.
The food hall is already home to the latest edition of celebrity chef Susser Lee's Lee Restaurant, the last of which will be taken over by the swanky new Earls outlet, due to open on Friday 28 June.
Waterworks Food Hall will officially open to the public at 11am on Wednesday, July 3rd, ready to provide a lunch break for Toronto's many foodies.
