The Red Wings announced that they have signed center Sheldon Drees to a two-year, two-way contract.
The 30-year-old Macomb Township native played last season with the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL, appearing in 55 games and recording 23 assists in 29 starts.
He has played in both the AHL and NHL since the 2018 season.
Detroit also signed goaltender Jack Campbell to a one-year contract worth $775,000.

According to Elliotte Friedman, Detroit is planning to sign defenseman Erik Gustafsson to a two-year, $2 million contract.
Gustafsson appeared in six games with the New York Rangers last season, scoring six goals and recording 25 assists while being a +3.

Darren Draeger reports the Red Wings are signing goaltender Cam Talbot to a two-year, $5 million contract.
The 6-foot-4 goaltender appeared in 52 games for the Los Angeles Kings last season, posting a record of 27 wins, 20 losses and 6 draws with a 2.5 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.

The Red Wings have reportedly agreed to terms with defenseman William Lagesson on a one-year, $775,000 contract, according to hockey insider Frank Seravalli.
Lagesson was a starter for Toronto’s AHL affiliate last season before being promoted to the Maple Leafs. He was listed on waivers and was acquired by the Anaheim Ducks before the trade deadline.

David Perron will not be returning to Detroit, as the 36-year-old winger has agreed to a two-year, $4 million contract with the Ottawa Senators, according to Elliotte Friedman.

The Detroit Red Wings confirmed that they have signed Patrick Kane to a one-year contract extension, hours after ESPN reported that Kane would sign the deal.
The 35-year-old joined Detroit about a third of the way through the season after recovering from hip surgery on a one-year, $2.75 million deal.
He immediately contributed to the Wings’ success, scoring 20 goals and recording 27 assists in just 50 games.

The Detroit Red Wings announced that they have extended qualifying offers to several players who will become restricted free agents ahead of Sunday’s 5 p.m. deadline.
The team said it had made offers to Jonatan Berggren, Lucas Raymond, Moritz Seider and Joe Veleno.
Issuing an offer gives a team first negotiating rights or a draft selection compensation if the player signs an offer sheet with another team.
