My name is Obruche Ovie, I am a Public Health Microbiologist, currently living in Toronto Canada, with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from University of Chester England, UK.
I recently came across a vacancy for a Public Health Specialist (Health Promotion and Determinants) position online on the WHO website.
Having read the objectives of the job, and the description of the duties, and required qualifications, I can gladly say I have the experience, skills and qualifications to be a great candidate for the position.
My experience includes working in a local Nursing and Maternity Home, University Teaching Hospital, volunteer work for Public Health Ontario Canada, Medical internships, and Health Promotion, Awareness community campaign at University of Chester England UK, as well as providing care for the elderly.
I have also conducted different research work on diverse, randomized controlled trials on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of antiretroviral medications, as well as presentations for health care promotion in the UK, in Canada, and also in different countries in Africa.
In addition to my health care background and experiences, I own and manage a digital marketing company in Canada, which was founded, while waiting for a public health job position, after moving from the UK to Canada.

Doctor, Cynthia Cyuzuzo is a Rwandese national, whom currently works at Lake District Hospital in British Columbia. She is a dedicated healthcare professional like myself with expertise in Mental Health and Addictions.
She has a post graduate degree In Mental Health and addictions, from Fanshawe College in Toronto and holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree from Zhejiang University in China.
Her experience includes working in Community Mental Health, Public Health, Medical Internships and Awareness Community Campaign, as well as providing care for the elderly.
She is also multi lingual. as she speaks French, English, Congolese, Chinese and different Rwanda languages very fluently.
She’s very good with languages.
She helps people be the best of themselves, as she has helped people in various communities better their health both mentally, emotionally and physically.
Doctor Cynthia is 27 years old and I am 33 years old, (she’s from Rwanda and I am from Nigeria) and we believe we could be great assets to the World serving via the organization. We would love to work and grow into the organization with long term goals as new generation healthcare professionals / providers.
We both have different Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) certifications and intend to do more trainings recommended by the organization.
We believe we can learn and adapt to every role or position if given an opportunity to work for the organization.

We are open to learning new skills and new ways to practice healthcare in a world class level if given the opportunity in other similar positions.
More so, we are willing to move from Canada to any country or jurisdiction the agency wants of us.
