US aerospace major Pratt & Whitney on Wednesday announced it will set up a new Customer Service Centre (CSS) in Bengaluru.
The company said the new facility will be part of its India Capability Centre and will drive customer service and operational support for Pratt & Whitney Canada’s 68,000 engines in operation around the world.

CSS, in collaboration with Pratt & Whitney’s supply chain operations, engineering and digital transformation centres of excellence in India, will provide a range of services including MRO support, spare parts management, engine leasing, engine reliability analysis and contract management.
The company added that the facility will employ more than 150 aerospace professionals and engineers to support its global customer service ecosystem.
According to Pratt & Whitney, the center will serve clients including domestic and international airlines, OEMs, MROs, regulators and small operators.
“The new customer service centre will leverage our existing investments in India and leverage local talent to enhance the reliability of our products and services and the service level of the customer experience,” said Nivin Kharab, vice president, customer programs, Pratt & Whitney Canada.
Pratt & Whitney Canada’s family of turboprop engines powers a large portion of India’s regional jet fleet, which consists of ATR and DHC-8-400 aircraft.
“We have invested over $40 million in our India centres over the last three years, expanding our talent pool to over 600 employees,” said Sandeep Sharma, director, Capability Centre, Pratt & Whitney (UTCIPL).
CSS aims to power the company’s global service transformation and achieve operational excellence, he added.
