LONDON (AP) – Britain says its satellite signal was jammed while a plane carrying Defense Secretary Grant Shapps was flying near Russian territory. The government said the Royal Air Force plane carrying Mr Shapps, officials and journalists “temporarily experienced GPS interference as it flew near Kaliningrad” on a flight from Poland on Wednesday. The government said the jamming did not pose a threat to aircraft safety and that it was not unusual for aircraft to experience electronic jamming near Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad is a Russian enclave bordering Poland and Lithuania and is home to the Russian Navy's Baltic Fleet. Mr Shapps traveled to Poland on Wednesday to see British troops taking part in NATO's large-scale exercise Steadfast Defender.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) – UFC Hall of Famer and former champion Mark Coleman says he's “the happiest man in the world.” A video posted to Coleman's Instagram account shows an emotional scene in which he hugs his family from his hospital bed. Coleman was airlifted to the hospital Wednesday after saving his parents from a house fire in Ohio this week, his daughter Morgan Coleman said. he says: “I can't believe my parents are alive. I had to make a decision.”
Estranged wife gives Gilgo Beach murder suspect the 'benefit of the doubt' and visits him in prison
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (AP) — The estranged wife of Long Island serial killer Rex Heuerman believes he is incapable of carrying out the crimes he is accused of and divorce proceedings are pending. He said he visits the prison every week even though his case is pending. Asa Ellerup told Newsday in a statement Wednesday through his lawyer that he had listened to all the evidence and would reserve his judgment. Heuerman, 60, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murdering four women whose bodies were found in an area known as Gilgo Beach in 2010.

LONDON (AP) – Britain's High Court has ruled that an Australian computer scientist is not the mysterious creator of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin as he claimed. For eight years, Craig Wright has claimed that he was behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, which hid the true identity of Bitcoin's founder. His claims were dismissed Thursday by Judge James Mellor following a lawsuit brought by the Crypto Open Patent Alliance, a nonprofit group of technology and cryptocurrency companies. The group claimed Mr Wright had created an “elaborate false narrative”, forged documents suggesting he was Satoshi and “terrified” those who questioned him. Wright, who was present at the start of the five-week trial, denied the charges.
Police search for University of Missouri student in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Police in Tennessee are searching for a University of Missouri student who was last seen by friends at a Nashville bar Friday night. Metropolitan Nashville Police Department released video Tuesday showing 22-year-old Riley Strain crossing a downtown street Friday night. Police said Strain was last seen downtown after drinking alcohol. Police searched the area by helicopter and on the ground, but said they were unable to find him. The search also included the banks of the Cumberland River. According to news outlets, Strain's mother and his stepfather drove to Nashville from Missouri after learning he had disappeared during a fraternity trip.

Although the motto remains the same, the decision to remove those words from the school's little-known mission statement has sparked outrage. Conservative radio host Jeff Kooner wrote on X that West Point is “starting to wake up.” FOX network host Rachel Campos-Duffy posted that the military academy has become “completely globalist.” Officials at the 222-year-old military academy, located 90 miles north of New York City, said “duty, honor and country” will always remain the same. Paul Alexander grew up in an iron lung for decades after contracting polio as a child
DALLAS (AP) – A Texas man who contracted polio as a child and used an iron lung for decades has died at age 78. Paul Alexander died Monday at a Dallas hospital, said Daniel Spinks, a longtime friend of Paul Alexander. Spinks called his friend one of “the world's brightest stars.” Friends of Alexander, who graduated from law school and pursued a career as a lawyer, said he had great joy in his life. The air pressure in the room forced air into and out of the lungs.
'Freaknik' documentary tells the story behind Atlanta's wildly popular street parties
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A new Hulu documentary focuses on Freaknik, the legendary street party that took place in Atlanta in the '80s and '90s. Stories abound of nudity, freeway debauchery, and traffic jams. However, Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told seems to offer a more substantial story. The documentary explores how the event started as a simple cookout at Atlanta Negro College during spring break and grew to draw thousands of people from across the country. The documentary will premiere Tuesday at SXSW in Austin, Texas, and begin streaming on Hulu on March 21st.
