Gary O'Neill named one of Manchester United's most admired coaches
O'Neill has done a fantastic job at Molineux since joining Wolves at the start of the season. The Midlands club currently sit ninth in the Premier League table and are hoping to qualify for Europe.
He also enjoyed success at Bournemouth, leading the Cherries to safety last season before being sacked, a decision that came as a huge shock to many.
The English manager is under contract with Wolves until 2026, meaning Manchester United will have to pay compensation to bring him back.
With Ten Hag's departure uncertain, several managers have been rumored to replace him at Old Trafford.
England manager Gareth Southgate has emerged as a possible candidate in recent weeks, with various media outlets claiming he is respected by many players and would be interested in taking the job.
Former Wolves player Julen Lopetegui, Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi and Brentford's Thomas Frank are also thought to have fans within Man United.
It's no surprise that O'Neill is attracting the attention of top clubs, but it seems unlikely that he would leave Wolves for Man United unless he replaces Ten Hag.
