It was only recently that he made headlines when “Jungkook Go Solo” started trending on social media.

In BTS' latest series of trends on X (formerly Twitter), the group's fans have united to fight back against claims of “favoritism” against Jungkook. A tweet by an overseas BTS fan over the weekend tore the fandom apart amid a series of uproar. J-Hope's album “Hope on the Street Vol 1”, released on March 29, 2024, featured a surprise collaboration between J-Hope and BTS's youngest member, Jungkook. The “I Wonder” track was a heartwarming reminder of the group's long-awaited reunion in 2025. However, these celebrations were interrupted when X user @gabi_persinoti tweeted about local Korean fans' “predilection for JKs.” They immediately suspected this to be cheating since J-Hope's album had been released only a few days earlier. In a now-deleted tweet, netizens accused a local small business woman of blatantly demanding that RM and Jin buy Jungkook merchandise when choosing their partners. Additionally, they investigated the lack of any J-Hope paraphernalia around town, despite the continued hype for his new album and docuseries.

Jungkook wrote a message on the fan exchange platform Weverse saying, “ARMY, how are you doing? I'm fine.'' The sudden update caused everyone online to experience a dizzying moment. She continued, “I'm working hard on my exercise. I'm cleaning up to the ceiling. I'm cooking well. It's already mid-March. I'd like to say hello again. I miss you so much. Unite!'' Jeon Jungkook began basic training in December 2023 at the South Korean Army's 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province.
