Swedish sensation Lukas Bergvall never intended to go anywhere else but Tottenham after the main reason he despised Barcelona was revealed on Wednesday.
Spurs were in contention with Barça for the Djurgården starlet in the January transfer window, but ended up coming out on top after he turned down a move to Catalonia.
The decision was met with much surprise at the Camp Nou, as Bergvall was fully expected to move to the La Liga giants.
However, in a virtual transfer coup, Daniel Levy will officially join the club in pre-season, signing a €10 million deal with the talented midfielder.

And this time, Swedish media Sportbladet featured an interview with Swedish sports coordinator Peter Kisfaldi, which was broadcast by FotbollTransfers.
According to Kisfaldi, Bergvall's arrival at Tottenham was actually no surprise, while current Spurs star Dejan Kulusevski was also aware of the move taking place.
Kisfaldi said: “I always knew it was going to be Tottenham because I spoke to Dejan Kulusevski. I sent him a message and told him to be careful because Lucas is coming down.''
“Dejan is fantastic and has a huge amount of experience despite being only 24 years old. I don't see anyone settling for Dejan.”

Kisfaldi also revealed that Bergvall and Kulusevski had known each other for some time.
“It was three years ago when Dejan was playing for Juventus. When we were there, we were at Dejan's house for dinner and that was the first time we met.
“Well, after that, of course, it was bingo. Lucas had to sit with Dejan all night. I think that was important.”

Kisfallidi also spoke about the influence of Ange Postecoglou on the move, adding that the fact that Tottenham had a permanent manager in place for next season was also a big factor in Bergvall's decision.
“He feels better and it's not that strange. Coach Ange Postecoglou sat down with him and told him that he loves young players and that if he works hard he will get a chance here. Who is the team? Compare that to Barcelona, where they didn't even know if they were going to coach.

Bergvall has made just seven appearances for Djurgårdens this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists, and is expected to aim to break into Postecoglou's first team in the summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham return to action on Sunday night when they host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
