Movie remakes are a sensitive topic among movie fans. They are dragged onto the internet from the moment they are announced. From the first trailer all the way to release, fans have been vocal about the remake. Not to mention the same overload of sentiment: “Doesn't Hollywood have any new ideas?”
Going against the grain is never easy, especially when it comes to movie opinions. But out of the hundreds of movies that have been remade, there must have been at least one that he liked…maybe even better than its predecessor. There's no need to hide your embarrassment just because you enjoy something.
So we're asking the BuzzFeed community. Which remake movie do you prefer over the original?
For example, you might prefer Lady Gaga's version of A Star Is Born to the original version starring Judy Garland. I find the emotional core and direction to be much better than the original.
Or maybe you prefer Karl Urban's adaptation of Dredd to the creepiness of Sylvester Stallone's 1995 film Judge Dredd.
Perhaps you believe in the superiority of Little Women (2019) and think that the new cast resembles the 1992 National Basketball “Dream Team” in terms of talent and even surpasses the original. I don't know.
