TURNER'S FALLS — On Wednesday, Lily Ross of the Franklin Tech softball team struck out four inside the circle and allowed just one hit. In a Franklin County League East game at Nancy Gifford Field, the left-handed pitcher pitched four innings for the win as the Eagles defeated Mahar 12-0 in five innings.
Braley Berg pitched five scoreless innings for Franklin Tech (13-1), then scored twice in the home half to secure a dominating victory.
For the Eagles, Kylie Gamache had two hits and two RBIs, and Kate Trudeau had a double and a double. Shelby O'Leary also had two RBIs in the win, and Allison George also had a hit and an RBI.
