The Miami Dolphins are scheduled to finish second in the NFL's Division I in 2024, but that's not necessarily an enviable prospect.
According to Bookies.com, the Dolphins will travel more miles during next season's regular season than any other team except the Los Angeles Chargers.
Thanks to (or because of) the road games in Los Angeles and Seattle, the Dolphins will travel 25,869 miles for the 2024 game, which is more than the diameter of the Earth (24,901 miles).
The Dolphins are scheduled to play nine road games in 2024, with other trips scheduled to Buffalo, New York (New Jersey, to be exact), Boston (New England), Indianapolis, Houston, Cleveland and Green Bay.
The Chargers lead the way with 26,803 miles covered, with the remaining five miles in 2024 including the Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers.
Among other AFC East teams, the Jets are 9th with 22,397 miles and the Bills are 22nd with 16,710 miles.
The bottom five teams on the 2024 mileage list will all have less than half the Dolphins' mileage.
The Washington Commanders have traveled the least distance (distance-based) at 10,550 miles, followed by the Cincinnati Bengals at 10,611 miles. The Indianapolis Colts are ranked 11,497th. The Pittsburgh Steelers are ranked 12,047th. and the Atlanta Falcons, 12,416.
