Jagermeister has revealed that its dominant position in the travel retail market now extends to other brands in its portfolio, including Teremana Tequila.
Tobias Witte, vice president of global travel retail at Jagermeister, said of the beverage business: “We have been in an expansion phase for the past four years, gaining many new customers with the expansion of our product range, and so far so good.This year, after Jagermeister acquired a stake in Teramana, We expanded Terra Mana globally. Tel Mana is now a large joint venture between the Lopez family, Dwayne Johnson, and Jagermeister.”
Jagermeister said now is the right time to further expand globally and across travel retail. The company said it has so far only been limited due to the need to organize production facilities to accommodate plans to further roll out the brand.
“For the past two years, Jagermeister has had limited production in North America, but now that we have our own facilities and our own distillery, we decided to expand,” Witte said. explained.
But with nothing standing in the way anymore, he told the database, Jägermeister's François Picot, customer development director for global travel retail, said: “The focus is now on entering travel retail globally.”
Witte added: “In the travel retail space, we are expanding globally, so we are expanding into South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and may select a few more markets in the next few years. ” he added.
