TORONTO , May 24, 2024 /CNW/ — This week, the Taiwan Tourism Board (TTA) hosted Taiwan Adventure Workshops in Toronto and Vancouver to introduce Canadian travel professionals to Taiwan's rich biking, hiking and cultural adventures. Organized in collaboration with Baxter Media, Canada's largest travel industry news and information provider, the workshops showcased Taiwan as one of the top travel destinations for adventurous Canadians.

“Many Canadians value the outdoors. Taiwan is home to more than 268 mountains over 3,000 metres, nearly 8,000 kilometres of cycle trails around the island and a wealth of water sports and activities, making it an ideal destination for adventure seekers,” said Jing Juan, director of the New York office of the Taiwan Tourism Board, which manages the eastern Canadian market.
The first workshop, held at the renowned Taiwanese restaurant Du Xiaoyue, gave the Canadian travel industry a literal and figurative taste of what they can expect when sending tourists to Taiwan. Presentations by several foreigners sharing their adventure travel experiences in Taiwan provided a new perspective on the biking, hiking and cultural adventures Canadians can experience when visiting Taiwan.
During the workshop, participants engaged with travel companies and airlines through speed dating sessions to help forge new partnerships to plan and sell more adventurous vacations to Taiwan.
