PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Memorial Day holiday is well underway, with many travelers expected by air and ground.
So if you're heading to Pittsburgh International Airport today to catch a flight, here's what you can expect.
Millions of people are expected to take to the skies and roads to celebrate what many consider to be the start of summer.
This is expected to be the second-highest Memorial Day holiday travel forecast since AAA began tracking holiday travel in 2000.

They estimate that 43.8 million travelers will travel more than 50 miles from home during the Memorial Day travel period.
According to AAA, airports are expected to be the busiest since 2005 this weekend as more than 3.5 million people fly around the country.
But most Americans will be driving, with an estimated 38.4 million more expected to take to the roads.
Mary Harrelson is driving from Georgia to Pennsylvania with her husband, her sister and their five young children.
“We had to drive through Washington, D.C., so we knew we were going to be stuck in traffic and we were prepared for that,” she said.
This year's travel total is up 4 percent from last year and on track to break the record of 44 million Memorial Day travelers set in 2005.
“I was kind of shocked when I got to the airport and was stuck at the back of the line. I didn't realize it was going to be that long,” said Jen McDonald, a North Hills resident who arrived at Pittsburgh International Airport on Friday morning.
