Sunrate and Voxel have partnered to make it easier for Voxel and its customers to scale and expand in the Asia Pacific region.
The partnership will see Sunrate's virtual card issuance engine join Voxel's payment solution, Bavel Pay, and enable card payments in more than 15 currencies with Sunrate's virtual credit card, the companies announced in a press release on Tuesday (May 28).
According to the announcement, the partnership will add Sunrate's commercial cards to Voxel's suite of payment options, allowing Voxel's partners to choose the payment method they want to use for each transaction.
“By incorporating Sunrate into our Bavel Pay payment provider hub, we provide access to a partner focused on the Asia-Pacific region and expand our services to all our customers,” Hector Martin, Voxel's vice president of global sales, said in the release.
According to the release, the new service joins Voxel's e-invoicing and B2B payment solutions for travel sellers, hotels and other travel industry businesses.
According to the release, Voxel provides payment services for travel sellers and automated invoice management solutions for tour operators, travel management companies, hotel aggregators and hotels.
“Sunrate has been revolutionizing B2B payments in the travel industry. Our partnership with Voxel has put us firmly on track to become the one-stop B2B partner for the travel industry, with our focus on continuously innovating our online travel solutions offering,” Coco He, general manager of Sunrate, said in the release.
In another move by Sunrate, the company announced in April that it would add Apple Pay to its global payments and financial platform, offering its commercial credit card customers a safer, more secure and privacy-preserving payment method.
With this addition, Sunrate customers can make contactless in-store payments using their iPhone or Apple Watch, as well as make in-app and online purchases using their iPhone, iPad or iMac.
Voxel was acquired by Amadeus in March, with Amadeus announcing at the time that adding Voxel's e-invoicing and B2B payment tools to the Amadeus portfolio would ensure frictionless payments and enable corporate clients to further automate aspects of the business travel experience, including bookings, payments and expense management.
