On Thursday, a jury in Donald Trump's election interference case returned a guilty verdict on all 34 felony counts against him, but for his co-hosts of The New Abnormal, the “perfect verdict” was something they never expected.
“Nobody knew what was going to happen,” Andy Levy says of the case. “There were a lot of different ways it could play out, and if one juror decided they weren't sure beyond a reasonable doubt, there would be a mismatched verdict.”
“There hasn't been a sentencing hearing or anything like that yet, but anyway, this is a really great day for America… I remember when the charges were first filed, and I was talking to legal experts on this show… this seemed like the weakest case,” Levy added, “but then as we dug deeper, we realized, no, this was actually a big deal, because it was election fraud and election fraud.”
Co-host Daniel Moody summed up the sentence perfectly, adding, “Honestly, this is what accountability should look like.”
