Summer is just around the corner and with it comes a ton of great food festivals in Calgary.
There's nothing better than soaking up the sunshine and enjoying food and drinks from some of the city's best restaurants and food trucks, and summer is already looking like it's in full swing.
If you're looking to mark your calendar, here are some of the best food festivals happening in Calgary this summer.
This family-friendly event showcases the best of Mexican culture, from entertainment to art and of course, food, with vendors serving Mexican food and beverages.

Calgary Stampede
The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is returning to YYC this year, and with it comes a delicious array of food treats. From the free Stampede Breakfast to dozens of new food items on the Midway, there's plenty to see.

Ice cream fans, don’t miss the YYC Ice Cream Festival, where participating cafes, restaurants and creameries will get creative in serving up delicious, cold treats to Calgarians in support of Calgary Meals on Wheels.

In July, the city hosts a weekend celebration of Latin America, with more than 30 food vendors selling delicious treats at Olympic Plaza, as well as a beer garden, live entertainment and an artisan market.

Afro-Caribbean Food Festival
This two-day festival will showcase Afro-Caribbean cuisine, allowing visitors to try a variety of Caribbean and African dishes.

A Taste of Calgary
One of Calgary's summer culinary events returns, bringing together hundreds of the city's restaurants, breweries and food trucks for you to sample their signature dishes, and best of all, admission is free.

Alberta's Table
This 10-day dining out festival is all about enjoying all the great cuisine Alberta has to offer, with participating restaurants serving multi-course, prix-fixe menus featuring dishes from local producers, growers, distillers and brewers.

Halal Rib Fest
Halal Ribfest is returning for the second year in a row this summer, featuring dozens of halal dishes ranging from juicy ribs and barbecue to creative street food.

Breweries and beasts
This all-you-can-eat festival brings together over 50 of YYC's top chefs, distillers, brewers and meat producers for one day only, where guests are given wooden boards with cup holders to eat as much as they like.
