According to a press release, Seabourn has announced an enhanced group program aimed at expanding opportunities for travel advisors.
The company said the new Seabourn Expanded Group Program is designed to not only capture new leads, but also streamline communications and simplify the group booking process.
The program introduces an improved tour conductor credit, offers onboard credit or bonus commission for bookings, eliminates the need for small group allocation deposits and increases group capacity.
“Seaborn has a long history of delivering incredible group, incentive and charter travel experiences, and this new program highlights our commitment to continually improve and enhance the group booking process for travel advisors,” said Steve Smotris, Seabourn's vice president of sales and trade relations.
“Whether you're celebrating a special milestone or planning a corporate gathering, we look forward to welcoming groups on a spectacular voyage while providing unparalleled ultra-luxury and service.”
Seabourn says the program will apply to all groups sailing from fall 2025 onwards and offers great value through new tour conductor credits.
The credit can be used to guide group travel, add value and improve profit margins: when a travel advisor books nine passengers at full fare, the tenth person can sail at a discounted rate.
The enhanced program also includes a renewed emphasis on sailings in the Accelerated Tier, offering an expanded list of curated voyages where seven guests can be booked at full price, with an eighth guest sailing at a discounted rate.
The calculation of the simplified tour conductor credit for reduced rate guests is a weighted average of all fees paid within the group.
Other perks include flexibility for businesses with the option to choose onboard credits or bonus commissions.
Seaborn says it is offering a combinable shipboard credit of up to $500 per suite, which travel advisors can integrate with most public shipboard credit offers and National Account shipboard credit programs to enhance customers' onboard experiences.
Alternatively, advisors can increase the value of their bookings by earning up to 5% bonus commission per suite.
The new program also includes exclusive group events, allowing travel advisors to create additional Seabourn Moments through exclusive group events.
For example, upon request, your group can receive a private cocktail party and a visit from a Seabourn official to welcome you on your arrival to the cruise.
Advisors can also take advantage of additional terms such as no deposit required and increased capacity.
Groups with 10 or fewer suites do not require a deposit to secure your suite assignment. Groups with 11 or more suites require a refundable deposit per suite.
Travel advisors can now secure more suite allocations to accommodate larger groups with Seabourn directly through the online portal, without the need for any forms or approvals.
