The owner of a Toronto cafe and boutique recently announced he will soon be closing his doors due to burnout, but this isn't the end.
Miss Pippa's, a combination bar, cafe, boutique and flower shop in Brockton Village that opened in 2019, has garnered a loyal following over the years.
The store's founder and owner, Anton Levin, has garnered a lot of love from the community in his five years in business (save for one angry customer), which is why a recent post on Miss Pippa's page was met with an outpouring of support and heartbreak.
In an Instagram post, Anton wrote that he plans to close Miss Pippa's in the near future, citing burnout from having to sell and offer too much at the store.
That's because, in addition to being a bar and cafe, the shop also sells a carefully selected range of products made by Anton himself, from skincare to dried goods and flower arrangements.
But as one door closes, another opens, literally minutes away from Miss Pippa's original location.
Anton told blogTO that she plans to open a store on College Street specializing in flowers, gifts and vintage items.
No closing date has been set for Miss Pippa yet, but Anton told blogTO the store will remain open until his new venture, ostensibly also called Miss Pippa, is ready to open.
Anton doesn't have a set opening date for his new business yet (he received the keys to his new space on June 4), but he told blogTO “the sooner the better.”
Miss Pippa's is currently located at 1158 College Street.
