The discount grocer has taken over the former Save-On-Foods site at Parkwood Place.
Prince George's newest grocery store opens at 8 a.m. Friday
Buy-Lo Foods is currently putting the finishing touches on the former Save On store at Parkwood Place, which was left vacant after Save On opened its new store at Pine Centre Mall. Both chains are owned by Pattison Food Group.
The press release gave a sneak peek at some of what customers can find at the discount grocer: The stores will feature discount and specials areas known as Drop Zones, as well as case-lot and bulk food sections.
“We are excited to open our Buy Law Foods Parkwood store on Friday,” store manager Taylor Towers said in a press release. “We can't wait for customers to see the savings, value and service we bring to Prince George. We'll also be handing out free giveaways and great prizes to celebrate our grand opening.”
The grand opening celebration will run all weekend, with the first 100 customers on the day on Friday and Saturday receiving a $10 gift card and Spin and Win giveaways on Saturday.
Through June 28, customers can also enter a “Groceries for a Year” contest in which one lucky customer will be chosen to win a gift card worth $5,200.
“This is a great day for the people of Prince George and for our team on site at Parkwood,” said Darrell Jones, president of Pattison Food Group. “We're excited to be able to provide our neighbours with everyday great prices on groceries and essentials and support our local community in any way we can.”
Buy-Low Foods Parkwood is located at 1600 15th Avenue and is open daily from 8am to 9pm.
