SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Siouxland residents came together Saturday afternoon for good food, good times and a great cause as the Food Bank of Siouxland hosted the Siouxland Food Festival at the Seaboard Triumph Foods Expo Center.
People were able to enjoy Siouxland's diverse food scene with snacks from Crumb., Pub 52, Hy-Vee, Kahills, Karla's Catering, Malli's on Wheels, Hawks Coffee Shop, Mateo Kitchen & Catering, Big Papa's Grub on the Run and more.
This is the second annual food festival and the food bank says they are grateful for the turnout.
“It's really an honor and a wonderful thing to see the community come out and support what we do,” said Valerie Petersen, vice president of the Siouxland Food Bank.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to food banks, helping the one in nine local residents who face food insecurity.
“We're really touched by the support that people have shown and we're happy with how things are going,” Petersen said. “We're happy to do what we can to bring the community together and make sure everyone in Siouxland has food.”
In addition to the food, attendees could take part in several raffles, yard games and a newly added bocce ball tournament.
