Police said when Linares got out of his vehicle, someone confronted him and opened fire. The motive for the shooting is unclear.
The shooting was captured on surveillance camera and .45-caliber shell casings were recovered at the scene, according to the arrest report.
Police took Bendroth into custody Monday after receiving a tip about a man matching the description of a murder suspect.

Forensic tests on the gun revealed it matched shell casings found at the scene, according to the report.
According to the report, witnesses identified Bendroth from an “Identification Needed” flier posted at the time of the incident.
Benross was arrested and jailed.
In court Tuesday, Bendroth was appointed a public defender and ordered held without bail. Bendroth's mother told the judge that Bendroth has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and has been through the Baker Act seven or eight times.
