The University of Texas Longhorns could be looking to keep their Burnt Orange family close through their 2026 recruiting efforts, and in doing so, the program would add one of the most intriguing names in that class.
It seems like only yesterday that former Texas tight end Jermichael Finley was thriving in Austin before winning a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers. Now, his son is about to take a big step back into the spotlight, too. Kaydon Finley, a four-star receiver in the 2026 freshman class, has already shown the same championship-level credentials as his father, winning back-to-back 5A state titles at Aledo the past two years, but he's got the skills to back it up, too.
Wearing deep orange Texans shorts, Kayden showed why he's a player worth talking about in a recent workout video shared by QBPlug on Twitter: Showing sure footwork and impressive handles, Finley could be a rising star in the 2026 class and get even more Longhorns fans competing for his services in the process.

Texas was one of the first teams to offer Finley more than two years ago, in June 2022, before the start of his freshman season, and since then he has received offers from a number of other programs, including Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Washington, Louisville and Tennessee.
He took an unofficial visit to Louisville on Monday, June 17, and will no doubt make many more visits in the future as he continues his final two seasons of his high school career.
Finley had 67 catches for 1,120 yards and 13 touchdowns over the past two seasons at Aledo (Texas).
