As Indian cuisine becomes more popular around the world, Indian restaurants are mushrooming in many countries. Recently, a Swiss restaurant has caught the internet's attention for its amazing cultural fusion, with a video going viral featuring waitresses dressed in traditional Indian attire.
Instagram page Soulmate Express shared a video showcasing the restaurant bustling with diners. In the video, a foreign waiter stands out, dressed in traditional Indian attire, including a glamorous salwar kameez and dupatta. Noticing the camera, she smiles and nods warmly. As the video progresses, another waiter appears, also dressed in a salwar suit. The camera then pans to show the restaurant's interior, which is designed to exude an Indian ambience, with a portrait of a Hindu deity hanging on one of the walls.
The overlay text reads: “Switzerland's Indian restaurants and waitresses look more Indian than India.”
The page, run by Indian couple Sneha and Veer, captioned the video as follows: “Who would have thought that in Switzerland you'd find a piece of India that's more Indian than India itself? Stepping into most Indian restaurants in Europe is like a cultural time machine. The rich traditions and vibrant décor can sometimes be more Indian than India itself! What has your experience been like in Indian restaurants in Europe? Let me know in the comments.”

Another person commented: “Wow so glad this is on there.”

“I thought this place was overrated. The food was mediocre at best. The decor was too flashy,” said another.
One person exclaimed: “Why would you want to eat Indian food and experience Indian culture in Switzerland? Jaha gye ho waha ka culture and food experience kro na (Experience the food and culture of the place you go).”
