Jordan Rezendes is committed to giving back to the community. That's why the Wareham native became the head boys basketball coach at Mashpee High School this winter. In his first year at the helm, Rezendes led the Mashpee boys basketball team to a 7-12 record. Determined to strengthen the program, Rezendes, along with Bob Catalini, will be hosting a co-ed skills clinic at Mashpee High School from June 24-28. Registration is $135 for the week or $30 per day. Boys and girls in grades 4-12 are welcome to participate. To register, contact Rezendes at rezendesjordan2@gmail.com.
Emma Gendreau, the current Miss New Bedford 2024, is one of 25 contestants vying for the title of 84th Miss Massachusetts. Her community service initiatives focus on supporting special education, a topic that is important to her community and the country at large, and one she frequently speaks about.

When Walter and Courtney White decided to start a business together selling wild caught scallops, they were inspired by their shared love of scallops and a connection that dates back to their childhoods.
Walter said he wants to provide others with a quality product using wild scallops caught by Waltney's Seafoods out of New Bedford, the world's largest scallop port.
