Amazon Prime Day is fast approaching, and apart from hot beauty products and trending kitchen gadgets, the e-commerce giant is also introducing travel discounts just in time for last-minute summer holidays.
Amazon partnered with a variety of travel companies, including Southwest Airlines, Viator, Turo, and Carnival, to quickly offer Prime members discounts on travel packages, car rentals, and cruises.

In a similar move, retail rival Walmart partnered with Expedia last summer to offer Walmart+ members the opportunity to earn Walmart Cash by booking vacations.
“These travel discounts are a type of perk that we can offer our members,” RetailMeNot editor Christine McGrath told ABC News. “There are lots of ways to save and get discounts, and these membership programs make it just a little bit easier.”

Costco Travel Discounts and Deals
The warehouse retailer's travel division offers everyday savings on top-quality, name-brand vacations, hotels, cruises and car rentals exclusively for Costco members.
Teresita Nino used Costco to book vacation packages and told ABC News how she saved money with overseas deals.
“The last trip we booked was to St. Lucia and we booked the flights and hotel so we ended up saving about $700,” Nino said of her experience with Costco, “and nine times out of 10, Costco Travel gives you a better overall deal than other travel companies.”
To take advantage of Costco's travel rewards, you must become a paid member as an added benefit to customers.
“Travel savings is the best perk, but it's not necessarily the most attractive one,” McGrath said. “With these programs, you have to think about the full value of the membership, not just join to save on travel.”
